Basra: An international drug dealer and transporter was apprehended, and crystal meth was seized hidden inside a delivery wheel. The General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances announced the arrest of an international drug trafficker and the seizure of crystal methamphetamine hidden inside a truck in Basra. The Directorate stated in a press release that Basra Narcotics Affairs detachments apprehended an international drug trafficker and seized a quantity of crystal methamphetamine in his possession. The operation followed intelligence efforts and close monitoring of the suspect’s movements, as he had concealed the narcotics using professional and sophisticated methods inside a large truck.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs affirmed the continuation of its specialized operations to pursue drug traffickers and smugglers and to eliminate the sources of these poisons, wherever they attempt to hide or distribute them.
