Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received a thank-you note from the Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Middle East Region on Wednesday. The note commended his efforts to enhance national health security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency of the Republic released a statement indicating that Dr. Hanan Hassan Balkhi, Director of WHO for the Middle East Region, expressed her appreciation for President Rashid’s vision. The note highlighted his commitment to developing a health system that is resilient to climate change. Balkhi emphasized that her recent visit to Iraq opened valuable opportunities for the exchange of views and ideas, fostering cooperation between Iraq and the World Health Organization.
