Basra: Basra Deputy Governor Maher Al-Amiri received the Director of the World Food Program (WFP) office for the Middle East, who was visiting Basra Governorate. A statement by the Deputy Governor’s office explained that Al-Amiri accompanied the WFP Director on a field tour during his visit to southern Iraq within Basra Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement indicated that the tour included several areas of the governorate, with the aim of acquainting the delegation with the most prominent sites representing Basra’s history and cultural heritage.
