Baghdad: The "Initiatives to Strengthen Arbitration and Combat Corruption for Environmental Justice" project was launched in Baghdad on Tuesday, in the presence of the Vice President of the Federal Integrity Commission, Ahmed Abdullah Abdul Khalaf Al-Jubouri, the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Iraq, Clemens Simetner, and the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Titon Mitra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this project is being implemented by the UNDP in partnership with the Government of Iraq and with financial support from the European Union. The successful implementation of the project depends on close cooperation, coordination, and partnership between the UNDP and key Iraqi institutions.

These institutions include the Supreme Judicial Council, the Federal Integrity Commission, the National Investment Commission, and the Ministry of Environment. The project will also collaborate with the General Secretariat of the Iraqi Council of Ministers, the Council of Representatives, the State Council, the Ministry of Planning, the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, the Bar Association, civil society organizations, the private sector, and universities. Similar institutions in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq will also be involved to further the project's objectives and ensure its sustainable impact.
