Tehran: Iran announced on Tuesday its agreement to allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to visit its nuclear facilities, a move aimed at demonstrating its commitment to peaceful nuclear activities. Alaaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, stated that “the Supreme National Security Council has approved these visits,” explaining, “To prove that there is no deviation from peaceful nuclear activities, the IAEA will be permitted to visit the nuclear facilities.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Boroujerdi added that “the responsibility for the nuclear negotiations lies with Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, but the final decision-making authority remains with the Supreme National Security Council,” emphasizing that any steps related to the nuclear file must be passed through this body to ensure adherence to Iranian national interests and security policies.
