Lorestan: The police Commander of Lorestan Province, western Iran, announced the arrest of 87 Israeli agents in the province, noting that they were handed over to judicial authorities. Lorestan Police Commander Brigadier General Yahya Elahi stated, “During the war imposed by the Zionist regime, Lorestan Province Police, thanks to intelligence information, good cooperation, and popular support, arrested 87 individuals in the province.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Elahi explained that the charges against these individuals included “confusing public opinion, sabotage operations, contact with foreign intelligence agencies, and possession of explosives.” Brigadier General Elahi noted that during the war with Israel, “we witnessed a significant increase in public confidence in the police forces,” as reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA.

He added, “Over the course of 15 days, more than 16,000 public information cases were reported to the police, demonstrating the citizens’ deep trust in the police force.” It is noteworthy that during the Iran-Israel war, Tehran announced the arrest of spies, agents, and Mossad cells across the country.

The mayor of Baharestan announced on June 18 that security and police forces “were able to arrest a terrorist team affiliated with the Israeli Mossad in Baharestan, after careful monitoring and continuous security surveillance. These suspects, who had entered the city by car, were arrested before they could carry out any sabotage,” according to Fars News Agency.
