Baghdad: The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, Deputy Oil Minister, Saeed Tavakoli, confirmed on Monday that gas exports to Iraq are continuing normally, without any interruption or restrictions. He also noted that Iran is continuing negotiations with both Russia and Turkey regarding energy cooperation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in press statements on the sidelines of an event on digital transformation in the gas industry, Tavakoli explained that “gas supplies to industries, power plants, and homes are currently proceeding without any restrictions, and the overall condition of the gas network this year is better than last year in all aspects.”

He added that “essential maintenance operations were completed on schedule, and gas reserves have increased by 16% compared to last year,” emphasizing that “the national gas network is currently operating under stable and secure conditions.”

He also pointed to “close coordination between the Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Interior to ensure stable supplies during the winter season, through a joint committee that manages gas distribution and monitors the needs of industrial and residential provinces.”
