Parchin: Western reports indicate that Iran is rebuilding the “Taleghan 2” facility at the Parchin military complex, a former site of its nuclear weapons program located 30 kilometers southeast of Tehran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the same reports state that Iran has covered the site with large fabric curtains to conceal the work from satellites, with extensive construction underway beneath the cover, including dump trucks, bulldozers, concrete pumps, cranes, and new reinforced blast walls. This is the third reconstruction cycle.

The original building was bombed by Israeli aircraft in October 2024. Iran rebuilt it with a new high-explosive containment vessel buried under a concrete sarcophagus. Israeli aircraft bombed the site again in March 2026 with bunker-buster bombs, creating three holes in the chamber and destroying the internal structure.

Iran began repair work by June 2026 and is now accelerating it under cover. The Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) describes the repeated reconstruction of the former Amad nuclear weapons program’s high-explosive materials test site as “deeply concerning.”
