Iran Revolutionary Guard Eliminates Terrorist Cell in Saravan

Saravan: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has announced the successful elimination of five members of a “terrorist cell” in the city of Saravan, located in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. This operation was carried out on Saturday and targeted a cell entrenched in a house within the city, aiming to dismantle a headquarters associated with “hostile elements.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guard’s ground forces confirmed that the first phase of the operation led to the elimination of a professional terrorist cell, resulting in the killing of four of its members. These individuals were reportedly planning to execute assassinations in the region. The forces discovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives within the cell’s hideout, indicating the group’s preparedness for further activities.

The Revolutionary Guard later updated the death toll, reporting that the number of cell members killed had increased to five. They also noted that this figure could potentially rise. However, the operation was not without casualties on the side of the Revolutionary Guard, as three of their members lost their lives during the engagement.
