Bandar Abbas: The Iranian government has ruled out sabotage as the cause of the explosion that occurred at Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, noting that initial investigations suggest negligence and dereliction of duty.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani confirmed that the competent authorities are awaiting the final results of the investigation to hold those responsible accountable and take the necessary measures.
Efforts are continuing to ensure the safety of the area, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening safety measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
The death toll from the massive explosion at Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, Iran’s largest commercial port, has risen to 46, with more than 1,000 injured.
Mehrdad Hassanzadeh, director general of the Crisis Management Department in Hormozgan Province, said in a statement last Monday that the death toll has risen to 46, while the number of injured has reached more than 1,000, 138 of whom remain in hospitals.
It is noteworthy that the explosion occurred last Saturday in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran. No precise information is available about its cause, and investigations are still ongoing to determine the circumstances of its occurrence.
