Tehran: Iran has issued a stern warning to the United States, vowing to deliver “crushing and devastating strikes” in response to what it perceives as US aggression. The statement was released by the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian military’s declaration was a direct reaction to US military airstrikes targeting regions in Sistan and Baluchestan and Hormozgan. The Iranian Armed Forces emphasized their resolve, stating that the more the US military continues its actions in the region, the greater the losses it will endure.

The statement further reiterated Iran’s stance on protecting its national rights, emphasizing that the Iranian nation will not compromise and is prepared to impose significant costs on what they termed the “cowardly and evil American enemy.”

Meanwhile, US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that the recent strikes were a response to attacks by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard on commercial shipping in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. In light of these developments, US President Donald Trump issued a warning to Iran, cautioning against any retaliation and threatening “much stronger and more severe” strikes if Iran chooses to respond to the US actions.
