Tehran: Iran has issued threats to target oil facilities across the Middle East in response to ongoing attacks on its energy infrastructure by Israel and the United States. Iranian authorities confirmed on Sunday night their intention to escalate if the assaults continue.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a spokesman for the Khatm al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that Iran would adopt similar measures should the attacks on its infrastructure persist. He criticized the United States and Israel, accusing them of causing civilian casualties while falsely claiming to support the Iranian populace. The spokesman highlighted the recent targeting of energy infrastructure and public service centers in Iran as part of these "boundless attacks."

The spokesman emphasized Iran's military restraint despite its capacity to strike back against regional energy infrastructure. He urged Islamic nations to caution the United States and Israel against further hostilities to prevent an escalation of conflict. The warning included a provocative statement on the potential consequences for global oil prices, suggesting they could exceed $200 per barrel if tensions continue to rise.

The announcement follows a declaration by the Israeli army, which revealed for the first time its role in bombing Tehran's fuel distribution sites that supply various entities, including military operations. The conflict, now in its ninth day, involves continuous attacks by Washington and Tel Aviv on Iranian targets, with Iran retaliating against Israeli and American interests in the region.
