Baghdad: Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh, has declared that military forces are maintaining firm control over the border strip with the Kurdistan Region, while underscoring the stability of Iran's internal situation. This statement was made during a press conference attended by television channel directors and several academics.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sadegh expressed gratitude to Iraq for its support during the conflict imposed on Iran by external forces, specifically mentioning America and the Zionist entity. He highlighted the solidarity of the Iraqi people in this context, noting it as a defining characteristic.

Al-Sadegh stressed that Iran did not initiate the conflict but is compelled to defend itself against external aggression. He criticized the Gulf states for defending American bases and assured that the Iranian leadership is well-prepared for a sustained conflict. He reiterated Iran's commitment to self-defense, revealing that offers of mediation from various countries have been declined by the Iranian leadership.

The ambassador also addressed the role of Ismail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force in the Revolutionary Guard, confirming his active presence on the ground and leadership in ongoing battles. He reiterated that the situation within Iran remains stable and that military forces are effectively securing the border with the Kurdistan Region.
