Baghdad: Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad, met and held talks with Haibat Al-Halbousi, the newly elected speaker of the Iraqi Parliament on Wednesday. The meeting focused on discussing the latest developments in the region and shared issues between the two countries.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the discussions between Al-Sadeq and Al-Halbousi highlighted the importance of cooperation and understanding in navigating regional challenges. Earlier on Wednesday, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf extended his congratulations to Al-Halbousi on his election as the speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, signaling a gesture of goodwill and support from Iran’s political leadership.
