Tehran: Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, during a reception ceremony for Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, expressed appreciation for Iraq’s firm stance against attacks by the Zionist entity on Iran.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Momeni told reporters about the significance of the meeting, expressing hopes that it would facilitate the movement of Arbaeen pilgrims and yield positive outcomes for both nations.
Momeni highlighted the gratitude of the Iranian leadership and government towards Iraq for its efforts in hosting Arbaeen pilgrims. He noted that the Iranian government has consistently appreciated Iraq’s support, especially during the Twelve-Day War, in assisting Iranian pilgrims.
Interior Minister Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari emphasized the importance of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, describing it as a crucial matter for both countries. He stated that representatives from all institutions responsible for organizing the pilgrimage were present in Iran to ensure necessary services and support for the event.
