Iran: Iranian Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan announced that more than 3.26 million Iranian pilgrims have left the country for the Arba'een pilgrimage, and more than one million remain in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his visit to the Shalamcheh border crossing, Brigadier General Radan stated that "the latest statistics for the Arba'een pilgrimage show that approximately 3.26 million Iranian pilgrims have left the country to participate in the Arba'een rituals, and about 2.2 million have returned so far. More than one million pilgrims remain in Iraq; therefore, we will witness the peak of the return wave of pilgrims to the country in the next two days."

The Iranian police chief urged pilgrims to utilize all open border crossings upon their return, and not limit themselves to only one or two. A balanced distribution of traffic across the borders allows for better services and reduces congestion.

Brigadier General Radan added, "Fortunately, thanks to the cooperation and coordination between officials of both countries, security prevailed in Iran and Iraq this year, and pilgrims traveled in complete safety."
