Iranian President Asserts Commitment to Peaceful Nuclear Energy Use

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that his country does not seek to possess nuclear weapons, and this is a firm belief of ours. He made these remarks during a press statement, emphasizing Iran’s stance on nuclear energy and its commitment to peaceful uses.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Pezeshkian declared, “No one has the right to deprive us of the right to benefit from nuclear energy and research that serves the interests of our people.” He underscored the importance of nuclear energy for Iran’s national interests and reiterated that Iran’s pursuit of nuclear energy is within its legal rights.

In his statement, President Pezeshkian also addressed the issue of negotiations, stating, “We were not the ones who abandoned the negotiations, and what we are demanding is our legal right.” His remarks highlight Iran’s position in the ongoing dialogue surrounding its nuclear program, emphasizing a commitment to legal and peaceful avenues for development.
