Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed on Wednesday that his country remains steadfast in defending the rights of the Iranian people. This declaration comes amid escalating tensions with the United States following a series of military confrontations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, US President Donald Trump confirmed earlier on Wednesday that powerful attacks had been carried out against Iran. He indicated that he believed the memorandum of understanding with Iran was over and that he did not want to engage with the Iranians any longer. Trump stated, “We attacked Iran very hard last night. They fired missiles at our ships, and that’s why the United States responded,” emphasizing the US stance, “We will not allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon.”

Furthermore, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with NATO’s role in the situation, stating, “We have wasted a lot of time with Iran, and we must do our job. I am not happy with NATO because they did not help us get rid of Iran.” The recent developments signal a significant shift in US-Iran relations, raising concerns over regional stability and future diplomatic engagements.
