Baghdad: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has confirmed the killing of American soldiers in a drone strike targeting a gathering of US forces at the Arifjan Ground Forces Support Center in Kuwait. The attack marks a significant development in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Revolutionary Guard stated that the assault was part of the 18th wave of Operation Nasr 2. The operation specifically targeted US forces at Camp Arifjan and resulted in the destruction of a radar station at the Ali Al Salem US Air Base in Kuwait. The strike also reportedly destroyed a weapons maintenance hangar and a drone hangar, leading to the deaths of several American soldiers.

Early Saturday, the Iranian military declared that it had used drones to attack US military bases and installations in Kuwait. The operation was described as a “decisive and effective response” to the presence of US forces in the region. The statement highlighted that strategic assets, command and control centers, logistical facilities, and air defense systems belonging to the US military were targeted.

These events occur amid a significant escalation in military confrontation between Iran and the United States, with an increasing frequency of strikes on American military bases and facilities across several Gulf states. This escalation has raised concerns over the potential for a broader regional conflict.
