Kuwait city: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Friday that it had targeted a US base in Kuwait, indicating that it would continue to retaliate against US attacks. In a statement, the Revolutionary Guard confirmed that "targeting a US base in Kuwait is an initial response to the attacks that it accused the United States of launching against civilian centers and employees in the telecommunications and railway sectors."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added that the Revolutionary Guard targeted "a US military radar, several weapons depots, and two surface-to-surface missile launchers inside the US base in Kuwait." The statement further noted that "the US strikes have led to a sharp decline in oil and gas production and a complete halt to exports through the Strait of Hormuz."
