Tehran: The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, General Hossein Salami, issued a stark warning to Israel today, stating that Iran would deliver a “painful” response if its targets are attacked. This declaration was made during a memorial gathering for Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, a top advisor to the Guards in Lebanon, who was recently deceased.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, General Salami emphasized the readiness and resolve of the Iranian forces during his speech. He remarked, “We confirm to the enemy that Operation True Promise 2 was just a warning and we will strike it painfully if it attacks our targets.” He continued to underscore the consequences of any potential aggression from Israel, “If the Zionist enemy targets our lands, we will target its lands and it knows that we fulfill what we say.”
