Tehran: Iranian strikes have compelled US forces to execute a tactical withdrawal to Al-Kharj in Saudi Arabia and Al-Azraq in Jordan, as reported by the Fars News Agency. This strategic move follows targeted assaults on the air support network, including refueling equipment.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Fars News Agency detailed that Iran’s initial strikes against bases near its borders during the 40-day conflict, targeting locations in Qatar, Kuwait, and eastern Saudi Arabia, exposed these bases to vulnerability due to their proximity, being only 600 to 700 kilometers away from Iran. In response to the diminished combat capabilities of these bases, the US command opted for a tactical withdrawal, relocating crucial air and defense assets to Al-Kharj and Azraq bases situated deeper in the desert.

The report further explained that a coordinated operation saw several drones and missiles attack various points in the air support chain, resulting in extensive damage. Seven military refueling aircr
aft were significantly affected, with two completely destroyed, leaving wreckage in the desert. Additionally, a THAAD air defense system, a critical anti-missile technology, was rendered inoperable, and an AWACS aircraft was downed in the same assault.

The strikes also incapacitated the refueling aircraft repair and monitoring center, crucial for maintaining air operations, and devastated US troop accommodations, highlighting the precision and comprehensive intelligence used in the attacks.
