Tehran: Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei received Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman in Tehran. During this significant meeting, Khamenei was presented with a message from King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Khamenei emphasized that communication between Iran and Saudi Arabia is advantageous for both nations. He highlighted the potential for the two countries to complement each other and pointed out the presence of adversaries who are against the development of relations between Tehran and Riyadh. Khamenei urged efforts to overcome these challenges.

Iranian Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri also commented on the situation, stating that Tehran and Riyadh could play a crucial role in ensuring regional security. In a press statement, Bagheri noted the progress in relations with Saudi Arabia since the signing of the Beijing Agreement and expressed readiness to enhance defense relations with the kingdom.
