Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that a delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is scheduled to visit Tehran in the coming days to discuss developments related to the country’s nuclear program. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stated that “a senior IAEA official will arrive in Tehran within the next ten days to hold talks on the latest developments in Iran’s nuclear file.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit comes amid heightened tensions following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes targeting nuclear-related sites inside Iran. Kanaani noted that the discussions will also address the future of cooperation between Iran and the agency, particularly in light of a recent decision by the Iranian Parliament to suspend certain coordination with the IAEA. He added that Iran is currently not hosting any IAEA inspectors.
