According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Revolutionary Guard said: “The Revolutionary Guard’s advanced air defense system intercepted and destroyed another US military MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz.” The incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region and raises concerns over the security of this strategic waterway.

The Iranian military had previously announced that its air defenses shot down an advanced “Orbiter” reconnaissance drone over the Strait of Hormuz yesterday evening, Sunday. This recent incident marks a continuation of similar events, underscoring the persistent military confrontations in the area.
