Baghdad: The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, has emphasized the significance of reinforcing the bonds of friendship between Iraq and Britain, particularly in the realms of security and training, to benefit mutual interests. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior released a statement highlighting that Minister Al-Shammari met with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hitchen, in his office. During the meeting, they discussed several topics of mutual interest, focusing on enhancing cooperation in security fields. The British Ambassador expressed his country's enthusiasm to advance bilateral relations with Iraq. He also acknowledged the ongoing security efforts by the Iraqi security services and commended their growing capabilities.
