Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Al-Ulum, engaged in a significant meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Iraq, Cui Wei, at the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad today, Sunday. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly economic, trade, and investment, within the framework of existing agreements and memoranda of understanding.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, both nations affirmed their dedication to developing economic partnerships and expanding cooperation to serve the mutual interests of their peoples. The discussions highlighted the importance of strategic collaboration, aiming to foster economic growth and stability.

The Chinese Ambassador emphasized Iraq’s strategic location and its crucial role in the China-led Belt and Road development initiative. This initiative is seen as a vital component in strengthening the economic ties between the two countries, enabling them to explore broader horizons of cooperation.
