Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid engaged in discussions with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadiq, focusing on bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President’s media office released a statement detailing the meeting held at al-Salam Palace in Baghdad. Both leaders emphasized the significance of developing joint cooperation and coordinating efforts to tackle regional and international challenges.

President Rashid reiterated Iraq’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote stability and bolster regional partnerships, aiming to benefit the security and prosperity of the region’s populations.

The Iranian ambassador conveyed Tehran’s interest in expanding cooperation with Iraq, highlighting Iran’s dedication to maintaining coordination and dialogue with Baghdad on various shared concerns.
