Rabat: An Iraqi delegation, led by the Advisor to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Higher Education Committee, Hamid Khalaf Al-Mousawi, engaged in discussions with Moroccan counterparts to explore avenues for joint cooperation in education.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the delegation, which included Maher Hammad Johan, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning, and representatives from various ministries, visited Morocco as part of the activities of the Higher Committee for Education Development in Iraq. The visit aimed to implement the Education Strategy and involved representatives from the World Bank in both nations. Discussions focused on educational systems, their stages of development, and how Iraq could benefit from Morocco's experience in education.

The delegation and Moroccan officials examined the administrative structures of education-related institutions, such as those responsible for education quality assurance and accreditation. The discussions led to the possibility of drafting a memorandum of understanding to exchange expertise in these fields. Additionally, Moroccan officials showed interest in benefiting from Iraqi initiatives, particularly the "Study in Iraq" initiative.
