Baghdad Head of the Human Rights Department, Plenipotentiary Minister Ali Hilal, met with Sattam Al-Dandah, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic in Baghdad.

A Foreign Ministry statement said that during the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the field of human rights, the international position on the human rights situation in the Syrian Arab Republic, developments in this field, and the position of the international community on this file.

The meeting also discussed preparations for voting in the United Nations General Assembly on resolutions related to the Third Committee, as well as preparations for the next session of the Human Rights Council, which will be held in Geneva early next year.
