Baghdad: During a meeting with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership between the two countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr Al-Uloom, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, highlighted the necessity of enhancing rapprochement and expanding partnerships based on shared interests and mutual benefit. The Ministry stated in a press release that Al-Uloom met with Alparslan Bayraktar, the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, who is visiting Baghdad to bolster bilateral cooperation.

The visit is part of joint efforts to broaden cooperation in fields such as energy and infrastructure projects. Discussions also focused on Iraqi oil exports, aiming to align with the common interests of both nations. The Undersecretary noted the significance of the Turkish Minister’s visit, especially considering recent regional developments that necessitate strengthened partnerships to support stability and sustainable development.
