Iraq and Turkey Explore Enhanced Cooperation in Counterterrorism Efforts


BAGHDAD: National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji met with the Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad, Anil Bora Inan, to discuss enhancing cooperation between Iraq and Turkey in combating terrorism and exchanging crucial information.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions, which took place in Al-Araji’s office, reviewed the latest regional developments and the roles of the Iraqi and Turkish governments in the process of maintaining regional stability, focusing on the supreme interests of both nations. The meeting also covered various files and issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the development of collaborative efforts in the realms of counterterrorism and information exchange.

This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment of both Iraq and Turkey to strengthen bilateral relations and work collaboratively on security issues that affect both countries and the broader region.
