Damascus: The Iraqi Embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus has made a significant announcement regarding the issuance of entry visas to Syrian citizens. The move follows the approval from the Iraqi Prime Minister, allowing entry into Iraqi territory for specific categories of Syrian nationals, subject to clearance from the Security Audit Office and communication through the Embassy.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy outlined the specific categories eligible for the visas in a press statement. These include Syrian women married to Iraqi men wishing to accompany their spouses to Iraq, Iraqi men with Syrian parents who wish to travel to Iraq, Syrian men married to Iraqi women, and Syrian women with minor children from a previous marriage who are under her guardianship.
The Embassy has urged Syrian citizens falling under these categories to visit the consular section of the Embassy in Damascus. They are required to present a certified marriage contract along with any other necessary supporting documents to facilitate the visa issuance process.
