Baghdad: Iraq ranked fourth among the top oil-exporting countries to the United States last week, as announced by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Sunday. Statistics from the administration showed that U.S. crude oil imports from the top 10 countries averaged 5.566 million barrels per day, reflecting a decrease of 293,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week’s 5.859 million barrels per day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the administration confirmed that Iraq’s oil exports to the United States averaged 231,000 barrels per day, marking a reduction of 72,000 barrels per day from the prior week’s 303,000 barrels per day. Canada was identified as the leading supplier of oil to the U.S. last week, with Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil following suit as significant exporters.

The report highlighted that the U.S. also continued its crude oil imports from other countries, including Nigeria, Ecuador, Venezuela, Libya, and Colombia, maintaining a diverse portfolio of oil suppliers.
