Baghdad: The weather forecast predicts increased dust and rising temperatures in the coming days. The Iraqi Meteorological Organization has issued a prediction indicating that the nation will experience clear and hot conditions, accompanied by some clouds in scattered areas of the southern region. Winds are expected to be light to moderate southeasterly, with occasional activity reaching up to 40 km/h in the western parts of the central region, potentially causing dust storms. Temperatures across the country are anticipated to be slightly higher than the previous days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Monday's maximum temperatures in Iraqi governorates are projected to reach significant highs, with Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah at 41°C, Erbil at 43°C, Nineveh at 44°C, and Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, and Anbar at 46°C. The central parts like Diyala are expected to hit 47°C, while Baghdad, Karbala, Babylon, and Wasit are forecasted to reach 48°C. Diwaniyah, Najaf, Muthanna, and Dhi Qar may see temperatures of 49°C, with Maysan and Basra reaching a scorching 50°C.

The weather on Tuesday is anticipated to remain clear and hot, with light to moderate northwesterly winds in the northern region and southeasterly winds in the central and southern regions. A slight temperature increase is expected overall compared to the previous day.

Predictions for Wednesday suggest continued clear and hot weather, with moderate northwesterly winds occasionally reaching 40 km/h in the western parts of the central region, leading to dust storms. Temperatures in the southern region are expected to rise slightly, remain similar in the northern and central regions, and be slightly lower in the central region compared to the previous day. Horizontal visibility is projected to be very good, though it may decrease in dusty conditions.

By Thursday, the weather is forecasted to stay clear and hot across the country, with temperatures holding steady in the northern and central regions and slightly decreasing in the southern region compared to the previous day.
