Iraq congratulated the United Arab Emirates on winning the seat of a non-permanent member of the Security Council.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said in a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “Iraq blesses the United Arab Emirates for winning the seat of a non-permanent member of the Security Council.”

He added, “We look forward to strengthening the joint Arab roles and exchanging support in the most important international issues.”
