Seoul: Iraq participated for the first time in the “Adex” defense exhibition in South Korea, represented by a high-level delegation headed by Major General Pilot Khaled Mirdas, Deputy Commander of the Air Force. A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that the Iraqi delegation’s visit witnessed several events and displays of advanced aircraft and military technologies.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the exhibition, in which the South Korean President, the Minister of Defense, and representatives from more than 54 countries participated, included air shows for several aircraft, including the T-50 and the modern KF-21, which is scheduled to enter service in Korea by the end of 2026. The aircraft showcased their maneuvering capabilities, in addition to the LUH helicopter, which performed an air show to showcase its capabilities.
According to the statement, the delegation also visited the arms industry exhibition, in which major international companies participated, and was briefed on the latest defensive and offensive technologies in the fields of aviation, air defense, cyber security, drones, and artificial intelligence systems.
