Doha: The General Assembly of the West Asia Weightlifting Federation elected Mohammed Kazem Mazal, President of the Iraqi Weightlifting Federation, as President of the West Asia Federation. This decision was made during a meeting held in Doha, Qatar, attended by representatives of the member national federations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the election of Mohammed Kazem marks a significant milestone in the federation's journey.
