Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation for the congratulations extended by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ant³nio Guterres, on the successful conduct of the 2025 parliamentary elections in Iraq. The ministry highlighted Guterres' support for the democratic process and efforts towards stability in the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry also conveyed its thanks to Mohammed Al-Hassan, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Iraq and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI). Al-Hassan played a crucial role in overseeing the electoral process, providing necessary support and guidance.

The Ministry praised the valuable efforts of the United Nations mission in Iraq, which was instrumental in enhancing the transparency of the elections.
