Baghdad: Iraq offers condolences to Sudan over the landslide disaster and expresses full solidarity with it. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep sorrow and grief over the humanitarian disaster in the Darfur region of Sudan, resulting from the landslide, affirming Iraq's full solidarity with Sudan in this humanitarian ordeal.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry offered its sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the government and people of Sudan, and to the families of the victims. The Ministry also wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and mercy and peace for the souls of the victims in this great tragedy.

It is noteworthy that a landslide occurred in the Jebel Marra area of the Darfur region of Sudan, due to heavy rains, killing and injuring hundreds of people.
