Baghdad: Iraq has affirmed its support for and solidarity with Switzerland following the accident at the Crans-Montana ski resort. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of the Swiss Confederation, and to the families of the victims of the tragic accident that occurred at the Crans-Montana ski resort, resulting in a number of casualties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated: “Iraq, while sharing in Switzerland’s grief over this tragic event, affirms its full solidarity and support for the Swiss government and people during this difficult humanitarian time.”

It emphasized Iraq’s support for and solidarity with Switzerland, and its commitment to strengthening the values of cooperation and humanitarian solidarity in the face of disasters.
