Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered its condolences today, Sunday, to the government and people of the Syrian Arab Republic for the victims of the tragic traffic accident that occurred on the Deir ez-Zor-Damascus road.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry said in a statement: “The Republic of Iraq expresses its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of the Syrian Arab Republic for the victims of the tragic traffic accident that occurred on Deir ez-Zor-Damascus road, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens.”

The Ministry added: “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, asking God Almighty to have mercy on the deceased and to grant the injured a speedy recovery, stressing the solidarity of the Republic of Iraq with the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic in this painful tragedy.”
