Washington: The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq ranked fifth among the largest oil exporters to the United States last week. The average Iraqi oil exports to the United States amounted to 141,000 barrels per day during this period.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the EIA reported that the average US crude oil imports from ten major countries totaled 5.093 million barrels per day, marking an increase of 262,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week’s imports, which stood at 4.831 million barrels per day. The largest oil imports to the United States came from Canada, followed by Mexico, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia.

The report also detailed that US crude oil imports continued from countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, and Libya, further diversifying the sources of oil entering the United States.
