Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein affirmed the Iraqi government’s commitment to consolidating human rights principles and strengthening its adherence to relevant laws.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry released a statement detailing that Minister Fuad Hussein met with Ikhtiyar Aslanov, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation to Iraq. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ICRC to support humanitarian efforts and coordinate joint action within Iraq.
The statement highlighted the Foreign Minister’s emphasis on the government’s dedication to human rights and adherence to international laws and standards. He also recognized the significant role played by the ICRC delegation in providing humanitarian support within the country.
