Baghdad: Iraq's Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Shorsh Khalid Saeed, and the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ambassador Yousef Al-Dobeay, have signed the report of the preparatory meeting for the 52nd Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, set to occur in Baghdad on April 11-12.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailed that the meeting included comprehensive discussions on the administrative, technical, and logistical preparations necessary for the event. The proposed program for the session was also reviewed during these discussions.

Ambassador Saeed expressed Iraq's eagerness to host the event, viewing it as a crucial opportunity to address key Islamic issues. He emphasized the readiness of Iraqi institutions to meet all necessary requirements and extended a warm welcome to the visiting OIC delegation in Baghdad.

Ambassador Al-Dobeay acknowledged Iraq's infrastructure and preparedness for the ministerial meeting, appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Iraqi government in facilitating the event. He also noted the positive developments in Iraq regarding stability and urban progress.

Both parties agreed on all points discussed, reinforcing their commitment to ensuring the success of the session and enhancing cooperation between Iraq and the OIC. The meeting saw attendance from directors of relevant ministries, representatives from the Prime Minister's Office, and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
