Iraq Reaffirms Dedication to Arab League Principles and Palestinian Cause


Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reiterated Iraq’s commitment to the core principles of the Arab League, emphasizing the nation’s support for efforts to enhance Arab solidarity and advocate for just causes, particularly the Palestinian cause.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement marking the 80th anniversary of the Arab League’s founding. Iraq, being one of the founding members, reaffirmed its dedication to the League’s principles and its support for initiatives aimed at fostering Arab unity and defending significant causes, with a primary focus on the Palestinian issue.



The statement highlighted the League’s crucial role amid regional and international challenges, urging for the development of mechanisms that promote joint Arab action and enhance economic and social integration. These efforts are intended to elevate the status of the Arab nation and meet the aspirations of its people.



The Ministry expressed its anticipation for a more cooperative future among Arab nations, underscoring Iraq’s readiness to actively contribute to achieving the League’s objectives and strengthening joint Arab endeavors.
