Baghdad: The Iraqi Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary has communicated to the Kuwaiti Ambassador that Iraq opposes the logic of war and the utilization of its territory for targeting neighboring countries. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom, engaged in discussions with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammed Hassan Al-Zaman, regarding the evolving situation in the region and the impact of ongoing conflicts on regional stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Bahr Al-Uloom highlighted the gravity of the present circumstances due to the ongoing war in the region and its implications for regional security and stability during his meeting with the Kuwaiti ambassador.

The Kuwaiti ambassador expressed his country's concerns about the attacks it is encountering from Iran and shared details of assaults originating from Iraqi territory. He urged the Iraqi government to take action to halt these attacks to preserve the brotherly relations between the two neighboring nations.

In response, the Undersecretary confirmed that the Iraqi government is exerting considerable efforts to protect Iraq from the effects of the war and to sustain the country's security and stability amid the attacks it faces, similar to other countries in the region.

Ambassador Bahr Al-Uloom reiterated Iraq's opposition to the logic of war, particularly the use of its land as a base for attacks against adjacent countries. He stated, "The government is taking all necessary measures, under the direction of the political leadership and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to pursue those responsible for any acts that harm the country's interests and its relations with neighboring states."

At the end of the meeting, both parties concurred that Iraq and Kuwait are directly influenced by the repercussions of the ongoing regional conflict, emphasizing the necessity of joint cooperation to maintain regional security and work towards crisis containment.
