New York:Iraq’s Prime Minister, Ali Al-Zaidi, has emphasized the country’s commitment to fostering constructive cooperation with Britain.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Zaidi met with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham in New York on Wednesday. This meeting took place on the sidelines of Al-Zaidi’s participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During their discussion, both leaders addressed various issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen economic and development partnerships between Iraq and Britain. They also reviewed significant developments and challenges facing the region.

Prime Minister Al-Zaidi reiterated Iraq’s dedication to openness and cooperation with Britain and urged for a greater role and increased presence of British companies in Iraq’s investment and development sectors.
