BAGHDAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of the new Canadian Ambassador to Iraq, Christopher David Beam, on Tuesday. During the meeting, both parties expressed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, especially in economic and commercial sectors.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister Hussein emphasized the importance of the relationship between Iraq and Canada, highlighting the need for enhanced cooperation in various fields to serve mutual interests. He assured the ministry’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities to support Ambassador Beam in his duties and ensure his success.
Ambassador Beam conveyed his dedication to continuing the support for the strong relations between the two nations and expressed his intention to work on developing these ties further in his tenure.
