Iraqi Airways Achieves Notable Operational Performance with Over 1,500 Flights in November

Baghdad: Iraqi Airways reported an advanced operational performance last month, achieving over 1,500 flights and transporting more than 214,000 passengers to various destinations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the General Company for Iraqi Airways stated that in November 2025, they operated 1,523 scheduled flights across domestic, regional, and international routes, transporting 214,780 passengers. This indicates a consistent growth in air traffic within the national carrier's network.

Manaf Abdul-Munim Aajil, the company's Director General, confirmed that these outcomes were due to precise operational plans under the direct supervision of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi. These plans focused on enhancing operational efficiency to meet the growing demand for air transport services provided by Iraqi Airways.

Aajil further explained that the airline is continuing to implement comprehensive development programs. These include modernizing the aircraft fleet, improving service quality for passengers, and expanding the destination network in compliance with internationally approved standards. He emphasized the company's ambition to strengthen the position of the 'Green Bird' on the global aviation map by achieving higher operational rates in the future.
